About Best European Hikes
Best European Hikes is an independent publishing project about hiking in Europe.
Our Story
Founded in 2026, Best European Hikes was created to make choosing a hike easier before you arrive: which trail suits your fitness, how the huts and lifts work and when the route is in season.
Who Writes Our Guides
Best European Hikes Editorial is an organizational publication byline. It does not imply personal hikes.
- Publication byline: Articles are attributed to Best European Hikes Editorial. We do not claim a network of local guides or reviewers.
Meet the Editor
Our guides are edited by Best European Hikes Editorial, Editorial project at Best European Hikes — the byline you'll see on our articles. European hiking guides with article-level sources.
Our Research Process
How each guide is put together:
- Sources: Use article-level sources from national parks, regional tourism offices, alpine clubs, hut operators and lift and transport operators.
- Corrections: We fix reported factual errors and update the article date.
What We Do
Best European Hikes publishes hiking guides by region, with practical help on trails, hut-to-hut routes, the hiking season and where to stay.
Our Commitment to Authenticity
We are committed to:
- Clear attribution: Separate sourced facts from editorial recommendations and avoid invented trip reports.
- Corrections: Report an article URL, disputed claim, and supporting source through our contact page.
Trust & Credibility
Each guide is built from the operators, tourism offices and providers it cites, and checked against those sources before publication. For the full workflow, read our Editorial Policy and Trust & Transparency pages.
Some guides include affiliate links. If you buy or book through them, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you, and these relationships never influence which products or experiences we recommend.
